Talamana Vision
TALAMANA is the combined vision of Gretchen Leary and Ektaa Rajani who met in a Vastu program founded by the late Dr. V. Ganapati Sthapati, well known and beloved South Indian temple architect who designed over 600 temples throughout the world. Ektaa and Gretchen have a shared background in design and love for laughter, consciousness and ever expanding possibilities. They feel that combining their gifts and unique personal, worldly perspectives – while putting the mathematical tenants of Vastu science first – can provide the best foundation for the creations bearing the Talamana name. As we all evolve to greater consciousness, Talamana can fill a role in bringing forth new products to help the collective and individuals function in and benefit from our new emerging vibrational reality.
GRETCHEN studied Vastu science from 2008-2018 (aumscience.com / Dr. Jessie J. Mercay, Chancellor) and first learned about its amazing capacities during her Ayurvedic studies at the California College of Ayurveda, from which she holds a Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist certification, as well as Pancha Karma Specialist and Ayurvedic Health Educator certifications. She received her Master’s Degree in Architecture from University of Oregon (2018). In 2013 she was awarded a scholarship to present original Vastu research at The Environmental Design Research Association conference (EDRA44 - Providence) “Healthy and Healing Places”. She has been a graphic designer for the past 25 years, working with many clients — a design role at Nike brought her to the Pacific Northwest where she happily resides today. Gretchen has traveled to India and South America numerous times (both lands with Vastu ties) for both study and enjoyment.
EKTAA has grown up in India where Vastu science is a crucial component to the peaceful / happy environment of a home. In 2014, she was inspired to incorporate this unique science into her Graphic Design business after attending a talk by Dr. Jessie J. Mercay in Bangalore. She has studied Vastu science from 2014 - 2019 during which she was part of 5 Temple Cottage / Vastu Garbha constructions (4 in India and 1 in Portugal) including her very own Rajani Family Garbha in Bangalore. Ektaa is keen on constructing vastu structures all over the world and has visited several temples in South India during a Temple Tour in 2017.
